The township, nearest to Satali is Hamiltanganj. The main gateway to Satali is “Godamdabri”. The greater Satali includes the segments like Dakshin Satali, Paschim Satali, Purba Satali, Madhya Satali, Satali Nakadala , Satali Mandalpara etc. The neighbouring villages include Mendabari, Nimti latabari etc.  National Highway stretches through the southern end of village Satali. River Baniya is flowing through this village. Once there was a river Bashra by name. Unfortunately it has turned a canal out of unpardonable apathy of the villagers. The oldest Hat (rural market) named Bifei bazar (Thursday market in Sadri language) is located in Paschim Satali.
