On the outset of last century, or even in earlier period , tea planters started setting up of

 Tea estate in Kalchini block at the foot  hill of  Bhutan. And  they opted for delploying

The local  resident solely belonging  to BODO community ,but bodo people refused to

 Work as  labourers .And they were ruthlessly ousted  from their  native village ,

Created by them  years after years by dint of heard labour and  wholehearted  passion for

Their land. And from then onwards, the ousted  BODO  people started living in a place

Now known as  SATALI  village. The name originated from the name of a very old

 Man of   BODO community .His name was  SATALU  barai(old man).
